This marker has been missing since at least 1973, the year I met my wife. She formerly lived in the neighborhood to the north and I've traveled this stretch of Columbia Avenue at the intersection with Yale Avenue since that time. In the attached photo, the marker could have been anywhere in the photo near coordinates 40.038085, -76.349480 It is NOT anywhere in the bushes, either. The foliage drops over the winter and it's just not there.
It should be noted that there is a parallel roadway, running along the south side of the main road for roughly 1,200ft, also designated as Columbia Avenue, that may be an old section of road. If that be the case, the marker may have been on the north side of that roadway near 40.037918, -76.349512. A target in the 2nd attachment marks the area for the 2nd road.
